Behives and Bottom Turns
While working with Custom Films, I contributed to Behives and Bottom Turns, a documentary that celebrates the deep connection between surfers and the environment. The film, which gained strong recognition and was featured at festivals including Melbourne, explored the intersection of surf culture and environmental beekeeping. My role included water filming key sequences and collaborating with the team on design, from posters and promotional materials to the collective’s logo, with a focus on reflecting the natural beauty and fragility of our marine environments.
Building on that experience and inspired by my collaboration with Surfers for Climate, I am now directing my own documentary on women’s surfing. Through this project, I’m combining my background in visual storytelling and design with my passion for ocean conservation, shining a light on powerful local stories that celebrate women, surf culture, and our responsibility to protect the coastlines that sustain us.
